• Long-Term Care Plan: Used when an owner may no longer be able to care for their pet permanently. It outlines adoption preferences, care needs, and emotional considerations.

A: Yes. We work to place pets with adopters who are open to staying in touch - sharing photo updates, stories, or even visits if possible. You decide what level of contact feels right for you. 

A: No. Legacy Leash is not a rescue. We don’t run a shelter or intake animals. Instead, we support pet owners in creating care plans and help match pets with trusted adopters when needed. 

A: Yes! Visit our “Adoptable Pets” page to meet animals needing new homes. As part of our mission, adopters are asked to honor the pet’s history by keeping in touch with the senior owner when possible. 

A: Not directly. But we’re happy to connect you with community resources like pet food pantries, low-cost clinics, or support organizations.
